The Revolution Will Not Be Televised
How can the President know the economy will recover? There is no way anyone can tell. Economists have predicted anywhere from five to fifteen years, tentatively. We as a nation want easy answers in these insecure financial times, but in truth, there are none. For people at the bottom of the economic spectrum this is old news. We have the least to lose. No saving, no 4O1K, no home ownership and no investments. This lack of material possessions leave us well positioned to CAPITALIZE on falling home values and other investments. This crisis maybe an unexpected boon to the underprivileged and exploited who are aware enough to take advantage of the destruction of the real estate bubble. Talk show host Rush L, whose daily rants against our President and his policies are counter productive to most American’s best interests. Obama’s policies are designed to save an essentially doomed economic system and preserve for the most part the status quo. The mantra “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” takes on new meaning when viewed from the perspective of the poor. Everyone else will have to tighten belts and adjust. For us its just another day.
